I know this is off-topic, but how much time do you spend making these animations?

Do you mean "per Day" or "per Animation" ?

Post Some basics
Well the basic start for when I want to animate a single model is loading the scene file where I have the model in its neutral pose. If I want to animate more than one I will have to merge the scenes with the other models into the one already opened. The first thing I should do is keyframe all the bones so that the first frame still contains the neutral pose (this will making editing the model later on a lot easier) the second frame should already be the inital pose for the animation.. again all bones will need keyframes in this one as well.
Animating stuff is pretty much just telling the program what body part should be where at what time.
we already have the basic position set, so if I want the jaw to be dropped after 2 seconds I go to frame 60 (in case of 30frames per second) set a key for the jaw here and move it to where I want it.
Basically that is it.. you have full control about how the program will do that movement from fram 1 to frame 60 but if I just copy these two frames over and over.. we already have a talking raptor.

There are certain things that still need to setup depending on how I am going to animate the two models..

Post Now for the Time
Timewise, I have many days at which I dont work at all.. usually these days come in bundles.
There are other times at which I cant stop working on a certain piece, but those are seldom and usually very tiresome.
A normal day of work would consist of me getting home from work at about 6pm.. making dindins and starting to work on the computer at 7pm.. usually just playing stuff and answering messages.. then I might end up working on some project for about 1 or 2 hours.
On weekends and when one catches me in an extremely horny mood I managed to work on a single project for up to 16 hours a day. I used to make the T-Rex head:

a long time ago. Took me about 4 days with 4 hours work a day. And that was just modeling it.
The first animation of it talking for about 10 seconds took about 4 hours.. but I got a lot faster later on.

this one:

took me a single day.. about 8 hours, but I was testing it out with ZBrush.. so that took about half of the time without helping the looks much at all. (complete with texture, rigging, posing an lighting)

Now animating those naughty animations .. I cant really say.. I usually start at some horny afternoon and dont stop until I... "stop being horny" which can take anything from 30 minutes to 5 hours.. I cant recommend 5 hours though because they make me kinda sore.

The "RapPush" animation took about 3 hours.. but that was easy because it was just basically two extreme positions and some facial movement.

"Rex Inside" I cant even say it took any time at all.. I did animate the T-Rex Head moving about .. took about 20 minutes a long time ago.. then I found out it looked rather fun from the inside and changed the camera persepctive.. took about 2 minutes.. but the computer spend about 6 hours of rendering while I was at work.

I'd say the "Tailhole vs Human" took me about 1 hour of animation. (creating the tail not included)

There is a reason why I love "simple loops" I can play them for hours.. but it only takes a minimal amount of time to animate and render. Not to mention I don't like to put an end to anything.

I can assure you, before I got a webpage, animating was solely for my enjoyment (^vxxv^)
I did some fun stuff here, some story stuff there, and everytime I had a naughty idea I was able to realize it and ba happy about it.
Now of course there is peer pressure and though I try to keep animating the way I used to it wont work.
I still do animations for myself, but half of what I have done lately is more because of others.
I only animate if I feel like working on MAX and that worked fine so far, I wish I would finish stuff faster, but I am not going to overwork myself any time soon.

I am one of those people who do nothing else but sit in front of the computer when they get home, caused me to not do a lot of homework when I was still going to school.. but its just fine now.
I dont own any pets, and the reason is just that I am afraid I wouldn't give them the appropriate care they deserve, even though snakes and crocodiles very seldom want you to play fetch with them.
